MCF 3M Exam Review

If you have lost your textbook, you need to bring a cheque made out to Bishop Reding Secondary School in the amount of \$105.

Bring to the exam three or more sharpened pencils, a big eraser, a ruler, a pencil crayon, a highlighter and a scientific calculator. There will be no sharing of materials during the exam.

How to study: Redo your tests, quizzes and assignments; print your blank notes and redo them (only look at the solutions to check); create summary sheets for each chapter (if not done so already); complete all your exam review questions; redo any homework you feel necessary.

Make study notes on the following:

•   Definition of a function
•   The vertical line test
•   Determining the type of function by its first or second differences
•   Function notation. E.g. f(3-1) vs. f(3) – f(1)
•   How to transform f (x)  x2 (graphing y  a(x  h)2  k or = ( − )( − ))
•   Domain and Range of lines and quadratics
•   Expansion of two binomials (FOIL method)
•   Factoring
